The journal of Applied Sciences and Engineering aims to promote and disseminate the knowledge by publishing research findings, review articles, joint research, and short communications in the broad field of applied sciences


The journal covers all aspects of applied mathematics, applied chemistry, applied physics, and applied engineering. It has 4 Sections: "Pure and Applied Mathematics", "Applied Physics", "Applied Chemistry", "Materials" and "Computational Science and Engineering".

Articles published in Applied Sciences will be Open-Access articles distributed under the terms and conditions of the Creative Commons Attribution License. The copyright is retained by the author(s). JASE-A will insert the following note at the end of the published text:

Announcement and Advertisement

Announcements regarding academic activities such as conferences are published for free. Advertisement can be either published or placed on the pertinent website. For further information, please contact the editorial office.

Editorial board

The editorial board consists of experts from natural sciences and an editor-in-chief. 

All research manuscript received in the Journal of Applied Sciences and Engineering A (JASE-A) will undergo full peer review process. The Editor-in-Chief in JASE-A is responsible for deciding which of the submitted articles to the journal should be published.

Editorial Procedures and Peer-Review

Initial Checks

All submitted manuscripts received in the Editorial Office will be checked by managing editor to determine whether they are properly prepared and whether they follow the ethical policies of the journal. Manuscripts that do not meet the standards of the journal or do not fit the journal's ethics policy will be rejected before peer-review. Manuscripts that are not properly prepared will be returned to the authors for revision and resubmission. After these checks, the managing editor will consult the journals’ Editor-in-Chief to determine whether the manuscript fits the scope of the journal and whether it is scientifically sound. Reject decisions at this stage will be verified by the Editor-in-Chief.


If a manuscript passes the initial checks, the managing editor will send the article to two reviewers, if the results were negative by one reviewer and positive by the other one; then the editor may send the article for third reviewer or immediately send to the Editor-in-Chief for accepting\rejecting the article. The Editor-in-Chief in JASE-A will do final decision.


The editor and any editorial staff must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, other editorial advisers, and the publisher, as appropriate.

Unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript must not be used in an editor's own research without the express written consent of the author.

Online Paper Submission

Originality and Plagiarism

Authors should ensure that submitted work is original and has not been published elsewhere in any language, and if the authors have used the work and/or words of others that this has been appropriately cited or quoted.

Applicable copyright laws and conventions should be followed. Copyright material (e.g. tables, figures or extensive quotations) should be reproduced only with appropriate permission and acknowledgement.

Fundamental errors in published works

When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in his/her own published work, it is the author’s obligation to promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the paper.

Submission Process

Manuscripts for the Applied Sciences should be submitted online at The submitting author, who is generally the corresponding author, is responsible for the manuscript during the submission and peer-review process. The submitting author must ensure that all eligible co-authors have been included in the author list and they have all read and approved the submitted version of the manuscript. Accepted File Formats

Authors must use the Microsoft Word template or LaTeX template to prepare their manuscript. Using the template file will substantially shorten the time to complete copy-editing and publication of accepted manuscripts. The total amount of data for all files must not exceed 100 MB.   • Microsoft Word: Manuscripts prepared in Microsoft Word must be converted into a single file before submission. When preparing manuscripts in Microsoft Word, the Microsoft Word template file must be used.
  • LaTeX: Manuscripts prepared in LaTeX must be collated into one ZIP folder (include all source files and images, so that the Editorial Office can recompile the submitted PDF). When preparing manuscripts in LaTeX, please use the  LaTeX template files.
  • Supplementary files: May be any format, but it is recommended that you use common, non-proprietary formats where possible.
